So this is just a general thread to discuss rebalancing/additions/modifications you all think might be good for GC.

Some random thoughts i had were adding partial build rates in (Example being hun-li could be taken from 1 per turn to 0.75 per turn, resulting in 45 per 45 turns going down to 33 per 45 turns.) etc..

Tainting or assimilating colonies should require less turns on non-RT servers to save on turns or scrap the turns required altogether to change type of colony/clusters.
It`s a real waste of turns which could be used better for infra research.

I agree with UnknownEntity. The kho shields should not block Barreras but instead be coverted to more Kho shields and only allow good artifacts to go through just like in Unification Wars.
How can one defend from Historias or other bad artifacts if shields are so few and additional defense shields are not allowed. This is a great imbalance that should be corrected.

Well, here`s a thought:

How about re-doing the arti stores? Like, make it to where certain arti limits are in place. Like, 300 of each commons, 250 of uncommons, et cetera, et cetera. Limits how many dineros and historias you can have to a reasonable amount.

BadWolf, your "example", would that mean Hun-Li can only be built if 4 turns were used? resulting in 3 being built?

not sure if this has been changed or not since back in the day when i played before so this is a question as well as a suggestion. the artifact shields, Major Barrera and such used to block artifacts from even being used on yourself is this still the case? And if so i would like to see it so it only blocks artifacts from others being used on you.

And yes, we really DO need that many NPCs. And they really do need to have a 3 hour rebuild time or even less.

We could even have a medium setting, where all NPCs still have race only ships, but they alter their fleets if they lose less than 10% of their fleets. That leaves green NPCs for low-risk practice.

Assuming this hasn`t already been discussed.....

How about 20-30 NPCs that come out of DP and populate the 1-20m PR levels for all servers (but ESPECIALLY slow and normal)? And if they are hit, they automatically rebuild back to their same range within a 3 hour time frame.

These NPCs would be color coded according to either red (hard) or green (easy). Easy ones have only race ships but give out the same rewards as a player with borders (maybe a 5% chance of a c1), while red NPCs can have any ship combo and cannot be scouted. But even winning 1 planet yields a nice reward of a high land planet, which scales according to the PR it is defeated at but has a base of 800 land (how much it scales depends, maybe 100 land every 5m PR for a max of 1200 land).

If you introduce NPCs that are constantly rebuilding every 3 hours from the time they are hit and actually give decent rewards for stacking skill, things may actually be interesting again.

I would like people who hit you and run to NP to have the hours spent in NP not count towards a counter much like vacation counters carry over

The first point BW made in the description in this post was to discuss re balancing. #justsayin Aminer could use some rebalancing for sure. All races could be tweaked or just changed to freshen up battles.

How about an automatic tool for making artefacts, that would make life easier and also be less of a pointless learning curve for new players. Also put what each one does in the screen that shows your artefact stores.

We were told more ship changes were coming after racial rebalancing was complete. But that was only what, a year or two ago and nothing else has changed?

FFOD, we just had a whole pile of neutral ships added to the game, there`s lots being done.
even player made ship revisions were done with some of the starbases. (I know b/c mine was chosen)

Okay, sorry for spamming ship changes. But it would be nice to have periodic ship balances/reworks regardless of them being "needed" or not. Just to mix things up.

There was some thought put in to making Kal Zul playable.. but anything to do with a new race is a massive undertaking. And I think payment services are up to Stephen`s control, and he doesnt care for the games anymore.

Not to say it cannot or will not be done, Zav, but stuff beyond a tiny change likely wont get done soon...if at all.
