  Tax Income & Infra Cost  

After Cagito told EE of an issue with results on GC and his calc concerning Tax econ for collectives being off.

EE and myself did some testing and found out that it`s an issue that can affect all races, but will always affect collective.

When they game calculates how much you make from Taxes, and how much population you have and then calculates how much infra you should have to make the population on your planets equal the amount you have, for instance, if you have 10,000 land and 10,000 housing with max population as a collective with 15 levels in housing infra then with max population you`d have 500,000 population, and with 50 loyalty you`d make 107,500 a turn, you should make 117,500 if you calc it by hand and the Income page will back that up, how ever the system assumes since you have 500,000 pop and only 15 lvls in housing that you should be charged 20k in infra upkeep rather than the 10k you actually have because it takes 20k land in housing to have 500,000 pop with 15 levels in housing.

And this happens any time your housing is greater than your max population, so as mineral miner with no levels in housing if you happen to capture a 25,000 c2 from a guard with 6,600,000 population, instead of being charged for the 25,000 infra upkeep the planet really has you`d be charged for 660,000 infra upkeep on that planet because that`s what the system says you must have in land in order to earn that.

The calculation that takes place on the income page is straight forward and uses your actual housing infra value rather than calculating what you should have, and because of this that`s why you also have the difference in turn use than is on the income page itself.

I Didn`t delve that far into it myself. I just noticed that applying -420 to loyalty ended up with the same result.

Now it makes more sense, as collective should make the same Tax $ as terran with the same land and infra. But they were never equal lol.

So that`s the reason it says `hard` on race difficulty lol

We collectives always seem to get the short end of the stick- 2 of our 3 special abilities have drawbacks/don`t work lol
